WHITE
ACCESS POINTS
So you’ve read up on the Game and Fish regulations, got your boat, fishing gear and life vests all packed up… Now you’re ready to get out on the water.
All that’s left is finding a great spot to put the boat in. Luckily, there are a few well-maintained access points in and around the Batesville area.
PS, if you haven’t picked up your Arkansas fishing license, you can buy and print one here.

KENNEDY PARK
The Mark House Memorial Boat Ramp in Kennedy Park and is probably the most well known entry point for accessing the White River in Batesville.
Those fishing in this area of the White River have been most successful in catching bass, bream, catfish, crappie and walleye.
With plenty of parking, picnic tables, sand bar and playground, this is a great place to spend a day by the river even if you don’t have a boat.
Located on the South side of White River, you can find it at 1420 S 20th Street in Batesville.
RIVERBANK ROAD
If you are looking for a lesser known place to put a boat in near Batesville, try the access point on Riverbank Road, south of the dam.
Located at 500 Riverbank Road in Batesville, this little ramp doesn’t have all the extra amenities of the park above, but it’s quiet and usually less crowded.
If you get hungry after your day on the water, don’t miss the River & Sandbar Steakhouse, which as the name implies, overlooks the river. It’s a great place to chill out and recap the day’s fishing adventures.
O’NEAL ROAD BETHESDA
Another great and lesser known access point is located in the small community of Bethesda just a short (and beautiful!) 15 minute drive outside of Batesville.
O’Neal boat ramp is located at the foothills of the Ozarks and provides access to White River at some of it’s most breathtaking bends.
This boat launch borders a peaceful ten mile stretch of White River between locks 2 and 3.
The Robert Gray Miller landing and access point can be found at 1565 O’Neil Road in Batesville.
RIVER RIDGE
River Ridge Access Point is a newer boat ramp added in 2022. It’s in the small community of Rosie, about 20 minutes from Batesville.
This section of river is great for catching largemouth bass, spotted bass, sauger, walleye and catfish.
You can get there from Batesville by taking Highway 167 South. Then turn right at Newport Rd (Hwy 14) towards Rosie. Turn left at River Ridge and follow to the end of the road, which is the access point. Road ends at the river.
Located at 70 River Ridge Lane, Rosie AR.
