MAIN STREET BATESVILLE

Olde Town Mall

As you stroll down Main Street, you can’t miss Olde Town Mall. History comes alive when you enter this double level antique store and market.

From home baked goods, homemade candles and bath bombs, carefully curated antiques and unique treasures, there is so much to find. Be sure to try one of the fried pies! They are amazing (especially the chocolate).

Fun fact: the lower level of the store is also full of antiques and rumor has it, part of the this floor actually lies underneath Main Street. Old buildings are so cool!

Earth Station

As you leave the Old Towne Mall, you will be greeted by a lovely nursery, full of beautiful flowers and trees. This is Earth Station.

Being Batesville’s oldest operating nursery, you will find a stellar selection of plantlife, carefully curated by the owner.

As you wander through the greenery, you will find this gem of a nursery actually extends quite far back and even has the cutest walkway through ornamental evergreens and Japanese Maples.

Pocket Park

Take a break from strolling down Main Street and relax in the Citizens Bank Pocket Park. With seating, umbrellas and games, this is a perfect place to rest, or eat that Gelato you got at Stellas.

If you are super lucky, you might catch the Main Street Farmers Market, when local farmers and vendors sell fresh fruits, veggies and home made goods.

This super cute little park is also a great place to host small to medium sized events, such as weddings or private parties.

Stella’s Brick Oven Pizza

The White River is famous for its populations of brown trout, rainbow trout and brook trout. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission regularly stocks the river with trout, ensuring they remain plentiful.

Fly fishing is particularly popular, with many anglers using dry flies and streamers. The river’s varied currents and numerous riffles make it an excellent fly fishing destination.

Spinning rods with artificial lures or live bait, such as worms and minnows, are also widely used.

Fly Fishing is most rewarding in early mornings and late afternoons.

Spring through Fall are the best times for trout fishing due to their increased activity and spawning.
